Built in 1993 and thoughtfully expanded over the years by visionary craftsman Ruben R. Garcia, this private family estate is entering its next chapter — transforming into a destination wedding venue unlike anything else in Northwest Florida.

MEET tHE OWNERS

For over three decades, Palazzo Malmaison has been a place of gathering. Established in 1993 and thoughtfully expanded by Dr. Ruben R. Garcia, the estate was originally conceived as a private family residence — shaped with a deep appreciation for European architecture and enduring craftsmanship.

A graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Garcia comes from a family of physicians and has practiced medicine for more than thirty years. After beginning his career in Athens, Georgia alongside his father, he relocated to the Florida Panhandle to establish his own clinics — where he later met his wife, Bobbie, in DeFuniak Springs.

While Dr. Garcia is known for his visionary spirit and boundary-pushing design sensibility, Bobbie brings refinement and balance to the estate and continues to play an active role in both the medical practice and the evolution of the property.

Though the family itself remained small, the home has always been full — hosting holidays, celebrations, and gatherings for extended family and lifelong friends.

As the next generation stepped into stewardship, the vision became clear: this was not simply a residence, but a setting worthy of celebration.

Inspired by the intimacy of Château de Malmaison and the romance of the European countryside, the family is thoughtfully transitioning the estate into a refined destination wedding venue for 2027 — opening its gates so others may begin their own love stories within its walls.
